Since I took the cover down, I thought I'd give you all a little teaser. I can be nice like that. ;)
It's been awfully quiet around here lately and that's all on me. Busy busy busy writing, then editing, not one, but two new Death and the Devil books for you!! Yes, two books. Not one novella and one full length book, but two actual and complete books. Mostly because I love everyone who loves Jack and Ethan and want to give you everything, but also because the planned novella got long. Short-book long to be confusingly precise about it. ;) I wasn't going to write the short-book, but after seeing a lot of 'I miss Ethan' comments in response to Why the Devil Stalks Death, I began to think about just what Ethan was getting up to while he wasn't around Jack in that book. I knew what he'd been doing, mostly, so I decided to write it. And lo! Turns out Ethan did a LOT behind Jack's back. So, I present for your pleasure, a cover and blurb for Ethan's side of the Why the Devil Stalks Death story... ETA I have temporarily taken down the cover as it might be insensitive at the moment. Ethan Blade—assassin extraordinaire, cold-blooded killer, heartless monster, and . . . retiree? I’ve spent my whole life dealing in death, efficiently eliminating targets while fighting to preserve a sense of self and morality, to avoid becoming as detached and ruthless as my siblings. I thought I had succeeded. Then I met Jack Reardon—contrary, handsome, forgiving, and far too good for the likes of me—and my life was tipped upside down. When he asked me to move in with him, he didn’t specify that I had to quit my job, but I wanted to—for myself, not for him. I should have known it wouldn’t be that easy. My old instincts—“Ethan Blade”—are soon tempted out of retirement by a job offer I can’t afford to refuse and by an old hook-up of Jack’s he’d be a fool to refuse. While falling prey to my own temptation, Jack struggles with his. Which is precisely when the true danger exposes itself—one of my siblings with no such sense of self or morality. Only pain. And he is prepared to rain it down on me and Jack, unless I can square the Ethan Blade I want to be with the one I need to be, in time to save us both. I don't yet have a precise release date for Dealing in Death, but let's all cross our fingers for an August release. I will let you all know when it goes up for pre-order. :)
Cheers!! It's Where Death Meets the Devil's first birthday!!!
I'm so proud of my book baby's first year. A lot of people have told me how much they love it and each and every time that happens, I'm stunned and amazed and so humbled that something I created has touched so many people. This celebration is more about you, the reader, than it is the book. Without you, WDMTD wouldn't have achieved a tenth of what is has, and I wouldn't have been able to keep writing these weird, messed up, occasionally sweet characters. So, because you're all so awesome, I'm going to pick a random person from all who comment here, Goodreads or Twitter to win signed paperbacks of Where Death Meets the Devil and Why the Devil Stalks Death!!. ✨✨🤗🤗✨✨ This is open to anyone, anywhere and closes after 48 hours. YAY!!! Finally, I have put up a little except from the upcoming novella to help you get into the birthday mood!! Excerpt!!! The paperback of is now available for purchase from select Amazon stores!! *
Amazon US Amazon UK Amazon DE (+ a couple others, please check with your local store. If it's not available there, you should be able to purchase from one of the others.) Also, the blog tour kicks off at Joyfully Jay on December 7 with an exclusive excerpt from the first chapter and a chance to win!! To celebrate the release of Why the Devil Stalks Death on December 9, I will be doing a little tour around the local blogs.

This, however, is only four posts and I have five stops... 😲 So I'm opening myself up to some questions. If there's something in particular you want to know, leave your question here (or at Goodreads or on Twitter) and I'll pick some of them to answer in my final blog tour post. I will, of course, reserve the right to answer as vaguely as I wish, or not at all. 😜 Be sure to follow the tour as there will be a chance to win either a complete Death and the Devil catalogue, or a $15US Amazon voucher if you already have all the books. Feel free to enter at every stop and a winner will be picked randomly at the end of the tour. I hope to see you there!! So, finally the non-Amazon retailers are going live with the pre-orders...
