So, I'm a dork. This shouldn't be surprising. Apparently, the pre-ordering system at Smashwords is only a way to get to the books out to their affiliates for pre-order and you can't actually pre-order directly from Smashwords. My bad for not reading all the information. Sorry for any inconvenience!!
Better a bit late than never, here are the links to the big three . . . iTunes Kobo B&N Cheers!! Happy Pride Month!! I know I'm late to the party, but I promise to be better organised in the future. :) However, I do come bearing gifts!! Sort of. . . I am very pleased to announce the arrival of a bouncing baby Death and the Devil novella!! Meta-State spy Jack Reardon believes it’s all been taken care of. He has his verbal agreement with his boss to “keep Blade happy,” and Jack is more than willing to do his best in that regard. He also has his bargain with Ethan, to keep seeing each other. Small victories, interspersed with exploding bombs, smashed cars and miffed co-workers, all while consorting with an international assassin. Contract killer Ethan Blade values his security, and Jack’s the first time he’s found that with another person. Wiring a warehouse or outback shelter for safety, no problem. Keeping safe a prickly ex-soldier-turned-spy who’s a magnet for trouble, not so easy. Instead of faceless, nameless jobs, he’s poking his fingers into Jack’s cases—a car bomb gone awry, a Hen party gone wild—much to Jack’s mounting dismay. They have a deal; neither one of them can seem to stick to it. It’s Jack versus Ethan as the two men learn to navigate their ever-evolving not-a-relationship without losing the benefit of the bargain. In further (hopefully) good news, this is but the first of three novellas set between book one, Where Death Meets the Devil, and book two, Why the Devil Stalks Death (due end of the year). The novellas are compilations of a series of short stories I wrote to show the development of the relationship between Jack and Ethan. I had fun seeing how these two manage to overcome their differences and issues to be together, and I really hope you all enjoy the journey too! Bargaining with the Devil will be available from Smashwords (and affiliates) and Amazon on June 30, at a price of US$2.99. However, if you pre-order before the 30th, you'll get it for US$0.99!! Pre-order links. . . Smashwords Amazon Subscribers to my newsletter should also look out for something special in the next couple of days. . . Cheers!! PS, there are a limited number of advance reader copies so if you would like one, message me either on Goodreads or the website, or DM me on Twitter with your preferred format and I'll see what I can do. ;) I've been a bit quiet lately because of life stuff. It's been getting in the way of writing stuff, as it tends to do. Anyway, I'm here to just give a bit of an update about the status of Where Death Meets the Devil and the sequels.
For now, Where Death Meets the Devil is remaining with Riptide Publishing. I came to this decision after discussing it with several people in the business. It's still available at all the usual spots. However, I have had the rights for the two sequels returned to me. Now I just have to sort out the details of getting book two, Why the Devil Stalks Death, published and write book three, (title to come ;) ). I will definitely keep you all updated with cover reveals and release dates and stuff. Cheers!!! I have a fairly full week ahead of me so I'm putting us all out of our misery and publishing the Where Death Meets the Devil :Coda today!! Jack Reardon's homecoming isn't quite as peaceful as he hoped it would be . . . Ten hours ago, Jack Reardon completed the messiest case of his career. Lucky to get through it with his life and a promotion, all he wants to do is catch up on missed sleep. Which won’t happen thanks to a bothersome house-invasion from assassin extraordinaire, Ethan Blade—who is also the reason he almost lost his life and job . . . It is up on Goodreads and immediately available through Smashwords in all formats (mobi for Kindle included) and will eventually be available from iBooks, B&N, Kobo etc. If you have any trouble with downloading it, please let me know through the contact form on the website or PM on Goodreads. I hope you enjoy this little extra bit of Jack and Ethan!! Cheers, L.J. With the blog tour for Where Death Meets the Devil winding down, I'd just like to thank everyone who hosted a guest post and tour stop along the way, and of course, all the lovely people who came along for the ride. It was a fun experience and I look forward to doing it all again in the future, because . . . I can now confirm, there will be TWO sequels to WDMTD!!! I don't have a release date for book 2 yet, but it does have the current working title of . . . WHY THE DEVIL STALKS DEATH Yes, Jack and Ethan will be back for more guns and drama in two full length novels. I will naturally keep you all updated with covers and blurbs and release dates as they happen, but to tide us all over until then, I will be putting out a free little coda for Where Death Meets the Devil (date pending). It's just a tiny round up for those few things left dangling. ;) Until then, here's a silly little cover thing I made . . . I hope you like the cover and, eventually, the Coda. And of course, kudos to L.C. Chase for the original cover design and for letting me play with the concept. ;) Cheers!!!! Yesterday's guest posts . . .
